We've teamed up with Ffotogallery, the national agency for photography and lens-based media in Wales, to bring photography to the people of Cardiff during October's Diffusion International Photography Festival (1–31 October 2015), which has a theme this year of ‘Looking for America’.
We've re-purposed five vending machines and placed them around the city. Each machine sells limited edition, collectable cartons containing miniature artworks and other goodies, including badges, stickers, trading cards and sweets (sorry, candy).
The branded, Ffotomatic machines are located at Diffusion’s main festival hub at The Stute on Wood Street, in Chapter, Milgi on City Road, Urban Tap House on Westgate Street, and the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay.
In addition to badges and stickers, included in many cartons are miniature prints of photography by Diffusion artists whose work is appearing at exhibitions across Cardiff during the festival. Some cartons, each of which cost £2, also contain winning tickets for photography books and limited edition Ffotomatic t-shirts. For more information visit the Diffusion site here.
